Joining The Grand Boulevard Fire Company
If you are interested in becoming a member for either firefighting, EMS (ambulance) or both; click here. You may also call the Balltown Road station at (518) 374-8386. Training is free and the District supplies all necessary equipment.
Qualifications:
- Must be over the age of 18
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Resident or employed full-time in Fire District No.1
- Be in reasonable health, able to perform firefighting or EMS duties
- Able to pass a physical exam, fitness test, and drug screen
Commitments:
- OSHA Safety Training Requirements (Approximately 20hrs/yr)
- NYS Firefighting Training (for firefighters)
- Maintain minimum attnedance for calls, drill/training , and monthly meetings
